At Landmark we recognized early the need to serve consumers and businesses through the Internet. The flagship newspaper, The Virginian-Pilot was one of the first newspapers on the Internet, debuting in December, 1993. While all Landmark local and national businesses are taking advantage of the online channel to serve their customers and grow into new markets, Landmark Interactive was a new division formed by the acquisition and growth of several companies outside the parent company’s newspaper, broadcasting and weather businesses.
